Software Architect

Utilus is a fast growing and highly ambitious software delivery company. We design, build, manage and operate highly scalable and complex software projects in the heart of the primary business processes of our clients, including Tennet, Eneco, Dura Vermeer and Nederlandse Loterij. We are also actively involved in independent developments such as a platform for managing power network congestion, and a platform for managing zero-emission last mile delivery.
Our 24/7 operations department makes sure that our systems process many billions of transactions a year, while constantly optimising the amount of resources used.
We work on sustainability by focusing mainly on assignments in the heart of the energy transition, but also by helping our clients replace dozens of so-called legacy systems with forward thinking, simple, cost-effective solutions for complex problems.
Design the architecture of the IoT integration with cloud solution and coordinate with Hardware & Firmware development stakeholders
Define architecture patterns and standards for the team to follow
Proven 6+ years of experience as an Architect or similar role
Experience with IoT integration in SaaS solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure; familiarity with AWS and GCP is a plus
Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills, Dutch is a plus
Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
