About the Project

We are developing a solution for Greenchoice to enhance asset-backed trading on multiple energy markets, enabling more efficient decision-making and market participation. Our solution helps Greenchoice optimize trading strategies and improve responsiveness across these energy markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable analytical applications in the energy trading and management domain using workflows (like Airflow) and time-series computations

• Your responsibilities include: Develop APIs (e.g. REST using FastAPI), Containerize and deploy to a Kubernetes cluster, Work with PostgreSQL (or derivatives like TimescaleDB) and Utilize Alembic and SQLAlchemy for database migrations and ORM management

• Collaboration with Teams: you closely  collaborate with Product Managers, Software Architects and Project Managers to guarantee that proposed solutions are implemented accurately and on time

• Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolutions and you have eye for detail

• Fast paced: you work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing requirements

What are we looking for

• Strong experience in Python development (5-8 years experience)

• Proficient in FastAPI for building APIs

• Solid understanding of SQL, extensive experience with PostgreSQL

• Experience with: Alembic for database migrations and SQLAlchemy for ORM, Containerizing and deploying applications to Kubernetes, DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Familiarity with administration of Kubernetes clusters

• Hands-on experience with pandas, Jupyter Notebooks, Databricks, etc

• Knowledge of TimescaleDB, Temporal, Airflow, MLflow, Druid

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services

• Your stakeholder management is excellent.  You easily work with the client's stakeholders, supporting  them in identifying and aligning on what is required to take the next step in the project

• You have strong communication skills 

• You have a hands-on mentality and you are comfortable in fast paced environment with constantly changing requirements

• You are self-motivated and pro-active, with the ability to work independently  

• Your  communication skills in Dutch OR English are excellent (both is a plus)

• Experience in the energy domain is a big plus
