About The Job
We are currently seeking a Product Manager to join our rapidly growing team.
The Product Manager is accountable for defining what to build and why. This role ensures that Utilus delivers products that create measurable business value for our clients and that development efforts stay aligned with long-term product integrity and strategic objectives.
You lead the journey from exploration workshops and AI-assisted prototyping to the rigorous, day-to-day execution of roadmaps and backlogs alongside engineering teams. You ensure that what we build is not only technically sound but also adds business value.
Key Responsibilities Product Manager
Consulting & Discovery: As a client-deployed strategist, you lead exploration workshops to validate business cases and de-risk investments before production begins.
Roadmapping & Backlog: You own the product lifecycle. You define clear roadmaps and translate them into actionable backlogs (Epics/Stories) with defined milestones to enable project tracking and reporting. You collaborate daily with engineers to ensure delivery remains aligned with the product vision.
AI-Augmented Prototyping: You leverage modern AI workflows to rapidly turn ideas into high-fidelity, functional prototypes. This allows us to test "The Challenge" with users before writing production code.
Strategic Storytelling: You master the art of the narrative. You create "Executive-ready" visuals and decks that make complex product strategies and technical architectures easy for any stakeholder to understand.
User Research & Interviews: Identify key users and stakeholders. Conduct deep-dive interviews to ensure the product solves real-world pain points in high-complexity environments.
What We Are Looking For
You have a bachelor's or Master degree in IT (or related) field
> 5 years relevant experience in product management with enterprise customers
Requirements & Discovery Engineering: You are skilled at gathering, analyzing, and structuring business and technical requirements, with a strong focus on early-stage discovery and validation.
Solution Design & Prototyping: You are able to create functional/technical designs, workflows, and mockups that are feasible and aligned with user needs. You leverage AI-augmented approaches to rapidly develop and iterate on prototypes.
Agile Product Ownership: You have strong experience in backlog management, prioritization, and working within Agile/Scrum environments.
Communication & Storytelling Skills: Your communication skills in English are excellent (Dutch is a plus). You have excellent storytelling skills.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership: Your stakeholder management is excellent.
Technology Curiosity & Continuous Learning: You are enthusiastic about technology with a commitment to staying abreast of the latest technological trends and advancements.
Domain Knowledge: Experience in the Energy domain and/or Public Sector is a plus.
