Senior Back-End Developer

We're looking for a freelance .NET Developer to join our team.

About the job

We are developing a virtual powerplant to support our client in an energy transition. This virtual powerplant will schedule and steer energy assets (e.g. windparks, solar parks, batteries and conventional power plants) on a near-realtime basis.

Role and responsibilities

The Back-End Developer holds a wide range of responsibilities which include:

Translating business propositions and requirements into high-level designs so they can land on the VPP
Working closely with business leads and project manager on the roadmap and planning
Collaboration with development teams and product managers to ensure high-level designs are implemented
Working closely with the software architect and lead developers to ensure the VPP is developed in a consistent way and meets non-functional requirements
Ensures architectural standards are documented, facilitate design decisions and monitors that standards are adhered to

Experience

Minimum of approximately 10 years of experience
Excellent knowledge of C# .NET core, 5.0 features, patterns, and best practices
Experience with gRPC, HTTP/1.1 protocol

Experience with microservice architectures
Experience with event based architectures
Familiarity with functional/reactive programming concepts
Experience with dev tools Git, Docker

Other requirements

Weekly travel to client's HQ in Rotterdam
