About The Job

Utilus is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our rapidly growing team. The Business Analyst acts as the link between the client and the development team, identifying the client’s needs,  translating them into clear requirements, and ensuring proposed solutions deliver value to the organization. The Business Analyst aligns the client and development team, ensuring mutual understanding of objectives, scope, and expected outcome. 

Key Responsibilities Business Analyst

• Gathering and Analyzing Requirements: You  work directly with stakeholders to grasp business goals and convert them into actionable functional and technical requirements (including conducting interviews, surveys, and workshops)

• Documentation: Producing clear and concise technical and functional documentation, such as requirement specifications and workflow diagrams, is a fundamental duty, ensuring all parties are aligned

• System Design: Leveraging technical knowledge, you develop blueprints for solutions including mockups, ensuring they fulfil user needs and are technically feasible

• Collaboration with Teams: you closely  collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and project managers to guarantee that proposed solutions are implemented accurately and on time

• Testing and Validation

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's/Master degree in IT (or related) field

• > 3-5  years of relevant experience in business analysis with enterprise customers

• You are enthusiastic about technology with a commitment to staying abreast of the latest technological trends and advancements

• You  identify, design and implement the core concepts of the customer's challenge

• You have proven experience gathering and documenting complex business requirements and translating them into functional specifications

• Your stakeholder management is excellent.  You easily work with the client's stakeholders, supporting  them in identifying and aligning on what is required to take the next step in the project

• Your communication skills are excellent. You are able to bridge communication between business and technical audiences. 

• You have a hands-on mentality and you are comfortable in fast paced environment 

• You have solid experience working on data-focused projects, such as data platforms, reporting systems, or analytics solutions, and understand how data supports business decision-making

• Experience in energy sector or with forecasting models is a plus

• Your communication skills in English are excellent (Dutch is a plus)
